WORKINGTON Reds joint boss Lee Andrews could freshen up his side for today's trip to Stafford Rangers with a trio of returning options after the pitch passed an early inspection.

Anthony Wright, Nathan Waterston and Tommy Whitehead will all be back in the squad forthe match (3pm kickoff) after missing out on Boxing Day's game against Lancaster City.

One player who won't be available is Gari Rowntree, who has work commitments, but he will be back for Monday and Andrews believes there are options to change things around.

And he admitted the gruelling festive schedule might mean reshuffling the team to cope with today's away game and Monday's visit of Whitby Town to Borough Park (3pm ko).

Andrews said: "We've got options and it also means with the lads coming back we've got the chance to freshen things up, bearing in mind we're in the middle of four games in 10 days.

"We've said over the last five or six weeks that the lads sitting on the bench have been really unfortunate not be starting and they've had to bide their time."

Joint boss Lee Andrews is confident that, although his team are on a 16-game unbeaten run, complacency will not creep in and his players will deal with the different threats posed by Stafford and Whitby.

"We're going into another two tough games and they don't come much harder than Stafford away because they're a physical side," he said.

"We always say you've got to earn the right to play football so we've to win the physical battle before we can play the way we want to.

"Mentally and physically we've got a strong bunch so I'm not worried about that.

"Whitby will be another difficult game.

"They've lost a couple of key players they had last season but the manager always sticks to his footballing principles.

"He likes to get the ball down and play it out from the back so that will probably suit us.

"It's one to look forward to with hopefully a big crowd to push the lads on."
