Workington Comets' rider Kenneth Hansen will hope to retain his crown in the Teesside Silver Helmet individual competition at Redcar tonight.
The competition, which will be held at the Media Prima Arena at 7.30pm, will see 16 riders race for the prestigious prize over 16 qualifying heats, followed by a semi-final and a final.
Comets captain Ricky Wells and former Workington riders Michael Palm Toft, Kevin Doolan and Ulrich Ostergaard are also part of the line-up.
The individual competition was first raced in 1928.
