Dave Rotheram has no complaints at his premature departure from Workington Town after tomorrow’s trip to York (3pm).

The coach is standing down to allow the new coaching duo of Martin Oglanby and Gary Charlton to appraise the squad for the final five games of the season.
“The club’s looking long-term, and realise I won’t be part of that, as I have other opportunities,” Rotheram said.
“Rather than wait until December, they have identified who they want, and it’s fair to bring them in to have a look what they’ve got, and need, for next year.
“It’s logical as far as the club goes. Despite it being a difficult time, I’ve enjoyed working with the board, and they have always been very supportive. We haven’t done so well this year, but I’ve also enjoyed working with the players.
“They are a good bunch of lads, and I’ve enjoyed their company as much as anything else.”
A former school teacher, Rotheram is keen to remain in the sport, but is also looking at posts in education.
Giant prop John Cox will trial for Town against the City Knights.
“He’s played for Scotland A, and for our reserves a couple of times last year,” the coach said.
“He weighs 20 stones but is an athletic 20-stoner, who played professional RU for Rotherham Titans, and for one of the Scottish provincial teams. He’s a good product.”
Rotheram is not bringing sentiment in to his last game in charge tomorrow.
“I just want the boys to do it for the club, and get the three competitions points,” he continued.
Town: Carter, Wilson, Beattie, Mossop, Marshall, Burgess, Frodsham, Stack, King, Coward, Coupar, Whitehead, Farrimond. Subs: Robinson, Pedley, Dobson, Cox.
