Powerhouse Chris Young will be back to boost Town’s hopes in the opening round of the NL2 play-offs on Sunday.
The Aussie forward missed the last couple of games of Town’s league season with a shoulder injury but is raring to go against Keighley.
He will join fellow countryman and half-back Bryce Poisel in the squad to travel to Cougar Park, kick off 3pm.
And hooker Shaun Lunt, last season’s NL2 young player of the year, will have a late fitness test to see if he will be right to return.
Town head coach, Dave Rotheram was also looking to see Iain Marsh and Ryan Campbell available for the big clash.
This is a great boost for Town, who have been hit by a string of injuries to key players this season.
“There are no second chances in the play-offs so we are going to put everything into it and it will be great to have him and Bryce back,” said Rotheram.
“Chris and Bryce will definitely play, we will have to check on Shaun but he has been training really hard.”
But skipper Dean Burgess, who has just signed a new deal with the club, is unlikely to feature for the rest of the season. Young has made a big impact at Town since flying over earlier this year.
The Bury-born forward had a good pedigree in the game, having played in the Jersey Flegg competition for Parramatta Eels and Reserve Grade for West Tigers and he has become a fans’ favourite at Derwent Park.
The winner between Keighley and Town will face the winners of the York City Knights v Rochdale Hornets clash. The team that finished higher in the league at the end of the season, gets home privileges.
