Bryce: I’ll beat the crock to make Town playoffs

AUSSIE playmaker Bryce Poisel has boosted Town’s hopes by making himself available for the opening NL2 playoff clash.
Poisel, left, who has missed Town’s final three games of the season with a shoulder injury, has vowed to be back, even if he is not 100 per cent fit.
“I will be pretty close to full fitness but I will play whatever,” said the half-back.
“It has been really hard being injured, watching the lads play and knowing there is nothing you can do to help them.
“When I got a scan they told me I would be out for six weeks and by the time the play-offs come around it will be about five so I might even be 100 per cent.”
Poisel’s return will be a big boost for coach Dave Rotheram, who has seen his side ravaged by injury throughout the league campaign.
And the Australian believes Town’s underdog tag could do them some favours in the race to the Grand Final.
“It is good to be the underdog, I think we will be a big threat, especially if we have players coming back from injury,” added Poisel.
“I hope some teams take us lightly so we can surprise them.”
Poisel, who is currently in talks with the Derwent Park club over his future, is positive about Town’s chances in the play-offs.
“If you want to get to a Grand Final, then you have to get past some good teams but I think if we get Keighley in this first round we can beat them,” he said.
“This hasn’t been the best season for us but we are in the play-offs and anything can happen.”
Town now look likely to face Keighley, after Doncaster leapfrogged them into fourth place on Wednesday night with a win over already promoted Barrow.
Doncaster are on level points with Keighley but have the better points difference but it will now all hinge on the final two games of the league season, with Keighley going to London Skolars tonight (FRI) and Doncaster hosting Hunslet on Sunday.
