Kells hammer Jarrow to move into RL Knockout semi-final

Kells progressed to the semi-final of the new Rugby League Knockout competition when they beat Jarrow Vikings 54-16 in west Cumbria.
It was 26-6 at half-time after Kells gradually wore down the Jarrow challenge which had been orchestrated by experienced south Cumbrian forward Graham Lupton.
Kells finished comprehensive winners with five tries in each half while the visitors finished with three touchdowns.
Ryan Robb kicked all seven goals for Kells whose ten tries came from Callum Rowlandson (2), Lewis Wilson (2), Ben Milburn, Connor Holliday, Barry Boyd, Gary Smith, Martin O’Neil and Scott Lofthouse.
Lupton scored one of the Jarrow tries with Chris Burnett notching the other two. John Cootes kicked two goals.
