Workington Reds midfielder Will Vaulks has confirmed his Borough Park exit.

The 19-year-old took to social network website Twitter to thank Reds’ players and fans for their support during his time at the club.

Vaulks, who originally joined Workington on loan from League One leaders Tranmere, will join Scottish First Division side Falkirk this week.

Impressing on trial with Steven Pressley’s men, Vaulks revealed his disappointment at not being able to play for Darren Edmondson one last time as Reds’ match at Bradford was called off.

In a series of Twitter messages, Vaulks said: “I want to personally thank the lads for making me feel more than welcome from the start of my loan to the end of my time.

“I wish the club and the fans the best of luck for the rest of the season.

“I loved the away fans. They are a great bunch of lads with decent banter.

“I’m sad to be leaving, but it was always my aim to get back into professional football.

“It is true I’m signing a deal with Falkirk. It’s a new adventure and a chance to play in the professional leagues.

“It’s exciting times, but I must say a special thanks to David Hewson and Darren Edmondson.

“Both have given me great advice, and Dabba was great to play alongside, even if he is a fossil.”

Vaulks signed for Reds permanently in November, but his deal was a rolling contract, which allowed him to look for a professional club.
