Paul Bird Motorsport [PBM] Ltd has teamed up with the Down’s Syndrome Association.

Cumbrian PBM owner Bird is proud to be an ambassador for the Down’s Syndrome Association and, as one of the most successful teams in British motorsport, they will be offering some superb prizes to coincide with the final round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch this weekend.

Based in Penrith, PBM has won 10 British Championships on two wheels with various riders, and they’re hoping for Shane “Shakey” Byrne to add an 11th this weekend aboard the Be Wiser Ducati Panigale R.

As part of the weekend’s activities to promote the Down’s Syndrome Association and to raise funds, the team is holding a raffle which includes a selection of superb prizes. These include two VIP Hospitality tickets to any round of the 2018 British Superbike Championship, an official PBM Be Wiser Ducati jacket and signed poster of Byrne or team-mate Glenn Irwin and an official PBM Be Wiser Ducati T-shirt.

“I’m incredibly proud to be an ambassador for the Down’s Syndrome Association as it’s the only organisation in this country focusing solely on all aspects of living successfully with Down’s Syndrome,” Bird said.

“We’ve had a number of guests come along this year and to see the happiness and joy on their faces in the garage prompted me to want to do more to help.

“Hopefully, we’ll raise a substantial amount of money via the raffle.”
