Brampton had an easy 32-shot home win over West End, taking all 10 points in the Carliol Thursday League.

Despite being only sixth of eight in the current league table, they must be favourites to take the title this season as they do have two games in hand of several of the clubs.

However, their main challengers could be Courtfield, currently in second place, who also have a game in hand of most but crucially still have to meet Brampton at River Street.

Courtfield beat Wetheral at home last week by 30 shots but lost four points to the visitors, both losses coming on the last ends.

That defeat sees Dalston move into pole position. They enjoyed a 32-shot home win over Stanwix and, like Brampton, took all 10 points.

Subscription, currently in third place, had a 12-shot home win against lowly Holme Head but the visitors managed to sneak two of the points.

In the Friday League, Courtfield continue to show improved form after a poor start to the season, and their trip to Dalston proved fruitful as they won 8-2, and by 29 shots.

Stanwix, despite losing by just eight shots, went down 8-2 to visitors Wetheral.

Subscription beat West End by 12 shots but the visitors collected three points, while the Brampton v Holme Head games was cancelled.

Wetheral are now at the head of the table by five points from second-placed Subscription. Courtfield and West Ends occupy third and fourth spots but both have played a game more than the two above them.

In the Thursday Handicap League, Courtfield had to give visitors Wetheral 15 shots but won by 30. Brampton won by 41 shots against West End who only had nine start.

Dalston were also in good form and won easily. Subscription were giving nine shots to Holme Head but still won by 18.

Tonight, Wetheral are at home against Subscription and have seven-shot start. West End have six start in their home fixture against Stanwix and Dalston are at home against Brampton but have to give the visitors six start.

Holme Head play Courtfield at St James and will have an 18 shot start.

Brampton head the table with 14 points and Subscription, Stanwix and Courtfield are all just behind on 12 points. Dalston and Wetheral are both still in the hunt on 10 points.

In the Friday Handicap League, Dalston had home advantage and were in receipt of nine shots but it was nowhere near enough as the visitors won easily.

Stanwix had home advantage and an eight-shot start but failed to win by just a single shot against Wetheral.

Subscription hosted West End and in receipt of 15 shots got home by three to take the two points.

Tomorrow, Courtfield are at home for the local derby with Subscription and have a six-shot start.

Holme Head host Wetheral and have 17 shots start. Stanwix have home advantage against Brampton and a 12-shot start and West End have two shots start against Dalston at Goschen Road.

Brampton lead the way on Friday on 12 points with West End just one point behind in second. Subscription, Wetheral, Courtfield and Dalston are all poised just one point behind with bottom club Stanwix only six points behind the leaders.
