In the Smurfit Kappa Conway Cup Quarter-Finals, Wigton Harriers and Netherhall fought out a goalless draw after 120 minutes, with Harriers holding their nerve the better progressing 4-3 on penalties.
Division One Cleator Moor Celtic took the spoils and progressed at the expense of Premier Division Aspatria 3-1 through goals from Fowler, Todd and Stainton, with Darryl Creighton getting Aspatria’s goal.
Benevolent Cup Round Two action saw another Division One side coming out on top over a Premier Division side with Borough going through 3-1 on the road to Cockermouth.
The visitors’ goals came from Andrew Marshalsea, Andrew Bezsusko and Liam McCulloch, with Brett McMillan on target for Cockermouth.
