Jarrad Stack will be back to bolster Workington Town’s pack against Bradford Bulls this Sunday.

The strong running Aussie forward will be a useful addition against Bradford’s powerful pack.

But the rest of Town’s injured players remain on the treatment table as they head back into action after a week off.

“The lads have had a weekend off to get fresh and ready to get back and stuck in for the second part of the season,” said coach Phil Veivers.

“We have had a good two weeks, with plenty of bodies at training and I am pleased with how the lads have reacted to everything.

“Jarrad will be back and Tee Ritson and Perry Whiteley all come back into contention.”

Veivers added that Latu Fifita and Karl Olstrom are still a couple of weeks away from returning.

Alex Szostak, Sam Forrester and Liam McAvoy will also not feature but are nearing a return.

Bradford have had an unsettling week following the departure of coach Jimmy Lowes.

But Veivers says the Bulls will still be determined to get a result at Odsal.

He said: “I am not too bothered about the news. I can’t control what happens there, all I can control is how we prepare for the game.

“We have worked hard on our mentality in training to try and challenge the way we see things.”

Veivers did go down to Salford to look at a few players in action at the weekend in the hopes of adding another loan signing to his squad.

But he said it was all still up in the air and at the moment there are no new additions.

“I was just down there to see what they had available but we will just have to wait and see how it goes,” he added.
