Northside won the President’s Cup when they beat Sun Inn in the final at Borough Park.

It was an emphatic 6-2 victory with goals from Liam McCullough (3), Tony Berwick (2) and Steffan Scott. Richard Hudson and Wayne Iredale scored for the Aspatria side.

In the Premier League, Bluebell lead Northside by a point and both teams have four games left.

Bluebell beat Senhouse Street Club 5-2 as Greg Quayle (2), Ryan Connelly (2) and Colin McAllister supplied the finishes. Top scorer Terry Wharrier netted both for Senhouse.

The League Cup final on Sunday at Borough Park should be a real cracker as it brings together the title protagonists, Bluebell and Northside. Kick-off is 2pm.

Deer Orchard and Voodoo completed their fixtures at Hall Park where the Cockermouth visitors were 4-0 winners. The two sides had been level on points and goal differential going into the game.

Callum West, Luke Graham, Dan Graham and Brian Straughton scored the Orchard goals.

In Division One, Yankees were into double figures as they proved too strong for Commercial, eventually winning 11-0.

Ryan Robinson (3), Niall McGee (2) Scott Whitehead (2), Jamie Graham, Dominic McGee, Gary Branes and Matt Fee scored the goals.

Workington Grapes weren’t far behind as they beat Thomas Henry 7-1, boosted by an Adam Cowan hat-trick.

Thomas Elwood, Mark Wilson, Steven Lowry and Paul Monkhouse scored the others.

The other game was much tighter as Seaton Rangers won 4-2 at Borough Miners.

Brandon Renney notched a brace while Jonathan Dixon slotted home a penalty and Dylan Kenny was also on target.

Gareth Young and Tom Barton ensured that Miners stayed in the contest.

There were four games in midweek, headed by Northside just edging out Millfield Miners 3-2 to stay on the heel of Bluebell.

Kurt Scott, Paul Lomas and Jamie Groves scored for Northside with Dean Anderson and Anthony Zajac ensuring the title challengers had a few nervous moments before the end.

Sun Inn got back to winning ways at the expense of Voodoo as they won a seven-goal thriller with finishes by Craig Wilson, Richard Hird, Matty Prior and Liam Day. Jack Wilson scored two for Voodoo with the third from Nick Wood.

In Division One, Yankee were among the goals again, beating Thomas Henry 6-1. Ryan Robinson (2), Gary Barnes, Jamie Graham, Niall McGee and Scott Whitehead were the goalscorers. Andrew Brown scored Thomas Henry’s Consolation goal.

The other game saw Seaton Rangers win 4-0 at Sun Inn Athletic with goals from Adam Kilgour, Chris Williams, Craig Williams and Jon-Carl Bryan.
