Four new additions have been made to Annan Athletic's squad by manager Peter Murphy.

Conor O’Keefe and Evan Horne have joined the Galabankies from Scottish Championship leaders St Mirren until the end of the season, while Ben Armour also joins on loan from Greenock Morton and Jamie Henry links up with Murphy's men after leaving Arbroath.

The quartet will all go into the Black and Golds' squad for this afternoon's trip to Berwick Rangers (kick-off at 3pm).

"We’ve been watching these players and tried to get them last August, so we’re delighted to get them signed," Murphy, Carlisle United's record outfield appearance-maker, said.

"It [the signings] have come at a good time with the recent injuries we’ve had to the squad."

Athletic are currently fifth in Scottish League Two, two points behind fourth-placed Stirling Albion who have two games in hand on the Galabankies.

They will be looking to bounce back this weekend after their club-record nine-match unbeaten run was ended on Saturday as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to leaders Montrose, and all four of this week's signings will be looking to make an early impact at Annan.

Winger O’Keefe, centre midfielder Horne and striker Armour are all 19, while Henry is a 20-year-old utility man who can play in midfield and defence.

Despite these signings, Murphy wouldn't rule out bolstering his squad further this month.

"I’m pretty happy with what I have at the minute but you never know," he told Annan's website.

"We’re always looking at options so we’ll just have to see what happens."

When Annan met Berwick earlier this season in the Scottish Cup at Shielfield Park in October, a Pat Scullion goal proved to be enough to knock out Murphy's men.
