Lincoln 2 Carlisle United 2: A brave Carlisle United performance saw them earn a superb 2-2 draw at League Two leaders Lincoln.

In-form Ashley Nadesan twice gave them the lead in the first half, before the Imps hit back.

The 24-year-old gave John Sheridan’s side a surprise lead on six minutes after he had been played through by Morecambe loan man Adam Campbell.

Lincoln, though, hit back on the 13th minute when Michael O’Connor was given space around 20 yards from goal and drilled into the net.

But, on 27 minutes, Nadesan was on hand to give United the lead again after a header back to goalkeeper Josh Vickers from central defender Scott Wharton had fallen short.

The Imps, though, levelled once more just before half-time.

A big mistake from Adam Collin saw Bruno Andrade’s free-kick from the left go straight through the former Workington Reds and Notts County man’s hands and into the back of the net.

Both sides had chances to grab a winner but, ultimately, had to settle for a one point which injury-hit United will be more than happy with.
