Applause: Carlisle United fans, staff and players stand for a one minute's applause for former Carlisle United player Tony Hopper who died this week from Motor Neurone Disease
Just over 4,500 fans were at Brunton Park as Carlisle United paid their respects to former player Tony Hopper.
Ahead of the match, a minute’s applause was held before supporters then broke into song for the popular Cumbrian in the 42nd minute in a further tribute to the 42-year-old who died last week from Motor Neurone Disease.
But the Blues were unable to get a win, instead falling to a 2-0 loss with Ajay Leitch-Smith and Vadaine Oliver netting for the visitors.
