Former Everton goalkeeper Louis Gray has signed a three-month deal with Carlisle United.

The keeper, who rejoined the Cumbrians recently as cover, has now agreed to extend his stay at Brunton Park.

The 23-year-old will now be with the Blues until January to compete with current No1 Adam Collin.

It is a second spell for Gray, who spent several weeks on loan from Everton last season.

He was released by the Toffees in the summer, having also previously played for Colwyn Bay on loan.

Gray's deal was confirmed ahead of Saturday's home clash with Morecambe.

Gray is currently Collin's understudy at United with previous signing Luke O'Reilly absent from the club with stress, Carlisle requiring cover in the position since the broken leg suffered by Joe Fryer in August.
