Carlisle United defender Anthony Gerrard has been handed a one-match suspension after an incident during the Blues' victory at Bury last month.
An FA investigation has also seen the centre-half fined £400.
The governing body today confirmed that Gerrard was charged with misconduct after an incident in the 51st minute of United's 1-0 victory at Gigg Lane on September 22.
That is understood to refer to the moments after Richie Bennett's goal, which saw Gerrard appear to remonstrate with a steward as some United fans rushed forward from their seats to celebrate with players.
The news was confirmed by the FA Spokesperson account on Twitter this afternoon.
Carlisle declined to comment.
