Carlisle United have re-signed goalkeeper Louis Gray.

The 23-year-old rejoins the Brunton Park outfit as cover for the goalkeeping department ahead of tomorrow's League Two clash at Oldham (3pm kick-off) with United loanee Joe Fryer having broken his leg in August and Luke O'Reilly missing Tuesday's 1-0 home defeat to Grimbsy through illness.

Gray first joined United on loan from Everton in January and worked as back-up to Jack Bonham throughout the second half of the campaign.

The Welsh-born stopper cut his teeth at his hometown club Wrexham and made the move to Everton, initially on a short-term deal, in September 2015.

He featured for the Toffees in their Checkatrade Trophy games against Notts County and Mansfield Town in the group stages of the competition last term but left when his contract ended in June.
