The Seagulls have faced four of last season’s top six sides in their first seven matches of their campaign.
And Murray, from Maryport, is eager to get some wins on the board, starting against West Ham on Friday night.
The former Carlisle United, Barrow and Workington Reds hitman said to Brighton’s website: "We look at the season in blocks and this opening eight games was going to be difficult.
"We’ve got Liverpool and Man City away out the way, and Tottenham and Manchester United at home, too.
"We managed to pick up some points in between those games but it would be great to add to that tally against West Ham in a group of games where we don’t face any of last season’s top six."
