Whitehaven player-coach Carl Forster has been appointed head coach at Championship outfit Rochdale Hornets for 2019.
The 26-year-old, who has done a remarkable job leading from the front on the pitch, has also been outstanding as coach to almost lead his side to the League One play-Offs.
Haven announced that the two parties had come to a decision that Forster would leave "due to cost-cutting measures".
It's not yet certain where Rochdale will be playing next season as they are bottom of the Championship with just one game to play.
Workington travel to Doncaster and Bradford entertain Oldham in the play-off semi-finals on Sunday.
The two winners play for promotion, the losing team in the final playing Rochdale or Swinton, whoever finishes bottom, for a place in next season's Championship.
