WHITEHAVEN inched closer to promotion to the Championship with an impressive 25-18 win over Doncaster at the Recreation Ground.
It was improving Haven’s first win of the season against one of the three sides ahead of them in the table, though the result was still in doubt at the break, with the game locked at six-apiece.
Haven pulled clear in the second-half, a converted Doncaster try five minutes from time ensuring they earned a bonus point that kept them in the race to top the table.
Hooker Carl Sice crossed twice for Haven, with Jessie Joe Parker and Richard Varkulis also touching down.
