Lakes Cottage Holidays, based in Keswick and Windermere, has a new-look website and has boosted its Facebook page which now has 85,000 followers.

And its new brochure, with details of almost 500 properties that it manages, will be published on Monday (February 6).

The company was set up in 2006 by David and Julia Hogarth. It has now rebranded itself as a family business with their daughters Sarah and Rachael on the staff.

David said: "We pride ourselves on being able to offer holidaymakers a fantastic variety of holiday cottages in the Lake District.

"Julia and I are also delighted to have our daughters working in the business, carrying on the traditions of excellent service to our property owners and those who come to visit this beautiful area.

"And not only are our daughters Rachael and Sarah - everyone calls her Sasha except me - involved with the company but our grandsons Louix and Frankie, who are both five, feature in blogs on the websites, showcasing all the fun that a family can have here.

"We are a family business and the Lake District is what we know and love. And we're obviously doing right as we've just had our second record week of bookings.

"This is testament to a lot of hard work and dedication to making sure that our owners are happy with our service and that our holidaymakers are happy with their visit."

Sasha Hogarth said: "My parents started their previous business, Cumbrian Cottages, when I was very young and I have been in training ever since!"

"I started working within the company when I graduated from university after studying photography. I really enjoy getting round our cottages in the Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere and the South Lakes, meeting new owners.

"It is great to see a property you have taken on prove popular with our holidaymakers and get lots of positive reviews."

Rachael Hogarth-Morley added: "After gaining a degree where I specialised in interior textiles, my next venture was working within our sister company Cumbrian Properties.

"It felt natural to want to go into the family business. I managed long lets for Cumbrian Properties at the head office in Carlisle for some years and was then given the chance to come and work for Mum and Dad on the cottages side.

"The Lake District is our special family place so to be able to work here was such a blessing."

Blog star Frankie is Rachael's son while Louix's mum is her other sister Caroline Hogarth Quinn.

Caroline also worked in the property business after studying law, initially as a valuer for Cumbrian Properties. She now runs Woodgrange Developments, a small property development company in Carlisle.
