Chorister with a bag full of cool

COURAGE comes in many forms and Andrew Johnston, the chorister who sang for 12,000 fans at Brunton Park on Saturday, has it in spades.
Andrew is the kid who nearly reduced Tv's Mr Nasty, Simon Cowell, to tears. He caused a few moist eyes among the rough and ready of the Paddock, too.
Brunton Park is famous for producing the bizarre and the magical, but not always at the same time. I don’t suppose we shall hear Pie Jesu again before kick off.
I’m tempted to say the teenager from the talent show Britain’s Got Talent showed a lot of what footballers kick around ….That would be inappropriate, but let’s say he’s not short of guts.
If Carlisle get a penalty at Wembley in the play-off final, I would trust young Andrew to keep a cool head and bang in the winner, wouldn’t you?
