Three Degrees of separation

It wasn’t just London’s jubilee celebrations that were coated in celebrity stardust. Whitehaven’s also had their fair share of famous faces.
One was celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli – and he has told of how he spotted three more famous faces at the hotel were he was staying.
There standing in reception were songstresses The Three Degrees, appearing at the same event. The trio had been heroines of his youth so Jean-Christophe tried to pluck up the courage to go and say hello.
Fortunately, as it seemed, they also recognised him, one of them saying: “There’s that famous chef!” Good, thought Jean-Christophe, they also know who I am.
They couldn’t quite recall his name however, until it suddenly dawned on one of them. “It’s Marco Pierre White,” she said.
Jean-Christophe couldn’t bring himself to correct them.
But it could have been worse. They might have mistaken him for Ronald McDonald.
