Our friends in the north?

Not long now until Workington Reds fans see their team’s fixtures for next season.
The list of games is due to be published in the next couple of weeks.
Reds play in the Blue Square Bet North division.
Being in a regionalised league cuts down on travelling.
At least that’s the theory.
Reds are set to travel 8,650 miles next season.
Their opponents will include Oxford City, Gloucester City and Brackley Town, in Northamptonshire.
The longest trip of the season is the 600-mile round trip to Hertfordshire to take on Bishop’s Stortford.
If this is a northern league, we must assume that Blue Square Bet South includes the likes of Sydney City and Antarctic Athletic.
