Make a note of where you live

Carlisle's Twisted Wheel nightclub may reopen, more than four years after it closed.

Nothing has been decided yet but the building on West Walls could now include two one-bedroom flats above the club.

Noise-proofing would hopefully shut out the din.

But a surprising number of people who move in next to noisy places then complain about the racket. People move near busy roads, airports, streets with lots of pubs, and then write to local councils grumbling about cars, planes and drinkers.

Would the same happen in the flats above the Twisted Wheel?

Reiver has an image of the occupants banging on the floor with a broom handle in the early hours, yelling: “What time do you call this? Keep the noise down!”
