Come on Blues – you can do it

There is never a dull moment at Carlisle United. Whether on or off the field, or at the top or bottom end of various leagues, the Blues certainly keep their fans on the edges of their seats.
Tonight is another occasion which could go down in United folklore. The second leg of the play-off final, with Carlisle 2-1 up from the first leg, could send Cumbria’s top performing club to Wembley once again.
Victory there would promote United to the Championship, a league which is stronger than ever before, where the opposition is mouth-watering and includes such famous names next season as Birmingham City, Wolves, Derby, Sheffield United, Southampton, Coventry, Reading... the list goes on and on.
Carlisle United are just two matches away from this fine achievement, but even if they fall at the final hurdle – or even tonight at home to Leeds – we should be very proud of the effort our boys have displayed this season.
The only disappointment has been the occasional smaller than expected crowds, and it can only be hoped that next season, whatever league United are in, local people will back the Blues in their droves.
But for now, we are sure we speak on behalf of the huge majority of readers when we wish Carlisle United all the very best for their big match tonight.
Believe it, and you CAN achieve it.
