Time to boycott the Street
Last updated at 13:11, Tuesday, 11 March 2008
I HAVE grown up and lived with Lookaround and Border Television for as long as I can remember, and I am sure there are many thousands more in this region who can say the same.
We all watch ITV programmes.
Now ITV are telling us that they don’t care and will axe our own local half hour of news.
Well, why don’t we answer back and tell them that we do care, and how will they like it if we all boycott all ITV programmes if they go ahead ?
Hit them where it hurts, in the pocket when they start losing advertising revenue because no-one is watching Corrie.

I doubt the ITN bosses will even notice that a few Cumbrians have stopped watching one of the most popular tv shows, and if they do, I doubt they'd care. It's not as if viewers all over the country would give up their daily soaps in solidarity.
Your naivety is very touching but it's a cold hard world out there.Posted by jane on 19 March 2008 at 11:50
