Well, we successfully opened, having our spider and first role up of the season a week ago. The weather held for us and we had a good turn out, although it would have been nice to see more new faces turn up. Unfortunately, the local press photographer was not available and so my hub had to take the pic. Hmm.
We were also lucky with the first friendly of the season. Good company from Croft of Cockermouth, who are getting over their flooding horror with good humour; good weather - and no midges (yet) - good food provided by the home team for our teas.
Our next riendly is on Wednesday (28th April) night and the first of the tournaments is on the 2nd May. Thats still in the panic stage with the catering as our lady who catered for us for the past couple of years is out of action this year. Hopefully all will pass off well enough.
Tuesdays remain club jumbles night, and anyone fancying a try should come along and see us.
