Workington man denies sex charge

A man from west Cumbria is to go on trial in June accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

Foyzur Rahman, 39, of King Street, Workington, pleaded not guilty at Carlisle Crown Court to sexually touching the woman in an incident on September 1 last year.

Rahman, who followed proceedings with the help of an interpreter, was remanded on unconditional bail until he goes on trial.

That will happen over an estimated three days, starting on June 10.
