Woman taken to Carlisle hospital after falling from horse

A woman was taken to hospital after falling from her horse and suffering head injuries.

The 41-year-old was treated by paramedics at the scene in Plumbland and taken to The Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, by land ambulance.

An air ambulance was also called to the incident at 5.15pm yesterday.

A spokesman said her injuries were not serious.
