Woman sold drugs to get out of debt, Carlisle court told

A Carlisle woman has admitted selling drugs in an attempt to get out of a debt.

Lisa Thompson, 36, of Stanhope Road, agreed to sell cannabis and amphetamine on behalf of the dealer who supplied her with the drugs she used herself.

She pleaded guilty at the city’s Crown Court to possessing both class B drugs with intent to supply them.

Thompson was remanded on unconditional bail for background reports and will be sentenced on May 27.
