Woman glassed in Carlisle pub

A woman suffered a head wound after she was hit by a glass in a Carlisle pub.

It happened in the Border Rambler, Botchergate, around 2.30am on Saturday.

Police say two men were fighting immediately beforehand. One has been arrested and released on police bail.

They are trying to trace the second man.

He is described as white, 6ft 2in, of slim build with brown hair and a beard, and was wearing a tweed blazer, waistcoat, shirt and dark jeans.

Officers say he was ejected from the pub by door staff but stood outside for a short time.
