Woman found dead in public toilets named by police

A woman found dead in public toilets has been identified by police.

Workington toilets

She was Susan Marie Lambert, aged 64, of Hunters Drive, Seaton, near Workington.

A member of the public made the grim find at the toilets near Steelmens Walk in Workington, with paramedics pronouncing her dead at the scene.

Officers are not treating Mrs Lambert's death as suspicious.

Details have been passed to the coroner.

A police spokeswoman said yesterday (Tuesday): “Officers were called by the ambulance service at 2.30pm yesterday after a body was discovered in the toilets at Steelmens Walk.

“Tragically, paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

“Police are not currently treating her death as suspicious and are conducting enquiries on behalf of the coroner to establish the circumstances of her death and a post mortem will take place.

“Police are speaking to her family.”
