Woman, 18, hurt in bus and car crash

An 18-year-old woman was injured when two vehicles collided in Hallwood Road, Lillyhall Industrial Estate, Workington, around 3.30pm yesterday.

The woman, from Flimby, was taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven but police said that her injuries were “not life threatening”.

The collision involved a bus, driven by a 43-year-old woman from Aspatria, and a Mazda car driven by a man, aged 33, from Cleator Moor. They were unhurt.

Firefighters also attended to make the scene safe.
