Headline act Wiley walked off stage at the CockRock festival after just 15 minutes - and then bragged about how much money he had just made.
The rapper/grime artist performed three songs on Saturday night before quitting the main stage at the annual Cockermouth music festival.
Then just a few minutes later, he took to social network Twitter to say "I just earned £1,000 a min. Best job ever."
He then quickly added: "Cumbria you were great... See you again soon."
I Just earnt £1000 a min. Best job ever despite anything else .— Wiley (@WileyUpdates) July 20, 2013
Cumbria you were great ....See you again soon ....— Wiley (@WileyUpdates) July 20, 2013
I drove into Cumbria picked up 15 k underneath the noses of a few haters not everyone was ... just a few ...Fear no area or no human .Amen .— Wiley (@WileyUpdates) July 20, 2013
And he added a little later: "Dear god you know I don't care about money and I am not fooled by charities either ....But I'm gonna **** this 15 k up the wall."
But despite Wiley's behaviour, Marie Whitehead, of organiser cnevents, said today: "We're not angry, we would have been just as disappointed if the loos hadn't turned up.
"These things happen and we'll get together next week to look at our next steps.
"It hasn't detracted from the rest of the weekend, which has been great and continues to be great.
"We were lucky that Colt 45 had just finished in Tent 42 and we were able to grab them as a contingency as Wiley went on stage.
"You've always got to have a plan B. Reverend and the Makers had such a good time at CockRock, they were keen to get back on stage."
Wiley, after firing off insults about Cumbria on Twitter on Friday and threatening not to show up, had arrived at the event in an apparent chilled out mood.
But the main stage crowd wasn't very forgiving and while half seemed delighted to see him, the boos came thick and fast.
Signs held up by audience members also told him plainly what they felt.
A number of liquid-filled plastic glasses were thrown and while none are believed to have hit him, the 'Wearing My Rolex’ singer left the stage.

Have your say
Wiley your street cred is just about zero.
Young Brits do not suffer fools gladly who take their well earned money and then do a runner.
I hope the tax man clobbers you, and you are booed of the stage at your next grab your cash and do a runner performance.
What a spoilt idiot.
I had never heard of this spoilt brat until now hope he doesn't get any more gigs
