A man and a woman have denied robbery.
Darrell Lee Devlin, 25, of Solway Road, Kells, Whitehaven, and Laura McGrady, 26, of Main Street, Distington, pleaded not guilty to robbing Terence Kinrade of diazepam tablets.
The robbery is alleged to have taken place on November 19 last year.
At Carlisle Crown Court, Devlin also pleaded not guilty to two others charges – one of fraud and one of robbery. These offences are alleged to have taken place on November 1, 2012. McGrady was granted conditional bail. Devlin was remanded in custody.
They will next appear in court on March 4.
