Andrew Ramage, of Seven Acres, Parton, near Whitehaven, had been on trial accused of two charges of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and one of inciting her to engage in sexual activity.

But a jury at Carlisle Crown Court found him not guilty on one of the counts of sexual assault, while prosecutors offered no evidence in the other.

He was also acquitted of inciting the girl to engage in sexual activity.
