West Cumbrian brothers on rape charges

Two brothers from Thornhill, near Egremont, have appeared before a judge to face charges of rape.

Stephen Leslie Tyson, 47, entered not guilty pleas to two charges of rape dating back to the 1980s.

His brother, Ian James Tyson, 46, and did not enter a plea to the rape allegation he faces.

Both men were granted bail pending their next appearance before the court, which is likely to be next week.
