Van driver crashed into wall, Carlisle court told

A Brampton van driver was fined by North Cumbria magistrates.

Darren Slater, 27, of Capon Tree Road, admitted failing to stop after an accident which damaged a wall in Gelt Road, Brampton. He was given a community order including a 16-week curfew, ordered to pay £300 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Ten points were added to his licence.

He also admitted using a vehicle without insurance, without a test certificate and driving without due care and attention. No separate penalty was imposed.
