Two car crash partly blocks Cumbrian road

A two-car crash has partially blocked a road in west Cumbria.

A Renault Megane - driven by an elderly man - and a Vauxhall Insignia, driven by a 57-year-old man, were in collision in Aspatria at about 10.50am today.

The A596 remains partially blocked between the B5301 Station Road junction and the Prospect Crossroads.

An ambulance is at the scene and its crew is attending to the drivers, who suffered minor injuries.

Anyone with information about the crash should call Cumbria police on 101.
