Superstar DJ Fatboy Slim will play at Carlisle club night Uber next month.

Fatboy Slim

Promoter Matt Tyson says it is “the biggest dance booking Cumbria has ever had.”

Uber will host him at The Venue on Botchergate on Saturday, August 23 and will include his set in the same ticket price as the 12-hour bank holiday party marathon taking place the night after.

Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, will squeeze the gig into a high-profile week which sees him playing Creamfields, Mallorca Rocks and Ibiza Rocks.

He rose to prominence with The Housemartins, hitting the top of the charts as he did with his next project, Beats International.

His major commercial success came with the release of Fatboy Slim albums spawning hit singles The Rockafeller Skank, Praise You and Right Here, Right Now.

Tickets £35 from www.skiddle.com
