Last updated at 12:17, Monday, 04 March 2013
Tickets go on sale today for this year’s Solfest music festival.
Folk legends Oysterband and roots music giants Afro Celt Sound System are among the acts confirmed for the event at Tarns near Aspatria, from August 23 to August 25, with headliners still to be announced.
Organisers have promised big things to mark the event’s 10th year. It will feature acts from across the music and arts genres with stages, tents, workshops, music sessions and cafes .
Since the first festival in 2004, Solfest tickets have sold out every year. They cost £109 for adults, £70 for 12 to 16-year-olds, £30 for six to 11-year-olds and are free for under-sixes for the whole weekend.
Early camping passes, which allow live-in vehicles, caravans, camper vans and trailer tents onto the site on the Thursday, are £15 per vehicle and a limited number of online early bird tickets are available at £99 for adults and £65 for 12 to 16-year-olds.
