Thug fractures man's jaw in attack in Cumbrian pub

A 21-year-old man was left with a fractured jaw after being attacked in a Cumbrian pub.

The victim, from Egremont, was visiting the toilet at Wetherspoons, in Bransty Arch, in Whitehaven, at 11.15pm on Saturday when he was assaulted, say police.

Officers are now trying to trace a man who was seen leaving the area shortly after it happened.

He was white, 6ft tall, had a medium build, and was wearing denin jeans and a denim jacket. The man also had blond streaks in his hair.

Anyone who can help the investigation should call Cumbria Police on 101 or Crimestoppers - anonymously if necessary - on 0800 555 111.
