Three people have been charged with the murder of a Polish factory worker in Carlisle.
A further three people have also been charged with assisting an offender in connection with the death of Piotr Kulinski in Harraby.
All six were appearing at Carlisle Magistrates Court today.
Those charged with murder are Piotr Zygner, 30, Pauline Mucha, 26 and Sylwester Kawalec 23.
Those charged with assisting an offender are Artur Skoczen, 30, Adam Karpuk, 23 and Artur Woszczyna, 44.
All six are from Poland.
Police and ambulances were called just after 6am on Sunday to a cul-de-sac off Arnside Road following reports that a man had been stabbed.
Paramedics were unable to save Mr Kulinski, who worked at the city’s Cavaghan & Gray factory, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
This afternoon, his partner said on behalf of his family: “Piotr was a loving father and partner who was loved very much by his family. He will never be forgotten, we think about him all the time and miss him greatly.
“At this time the family would like to be left alone to grieve in private.”
