Three arrested after man robbed in his Carlisle home

Three teenagers have been arrested after an alleged knifepoint raid at a house in Carlisle.

Police were called to a reported burglary at Aglionby Street at about 12.20am.

A 33-year-old man said he had been threatened after the group burst into his home.

They demanded money before making off with items including a mobile phone, cash and computers. In total, property worth more than £4,000 was taken.

Police have issued brief descriptions of the alleged burglars and appealed for information.

They are described as being black and wearing dark coloured clothing.

They may have been in the area before the incident and police want anyone who may have seen people acting suspiciously to contact them on 101.

A 15-year-old boy, 17-year-old youth and 18-year-old man, all from the London area, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

They are helping police with their enquiries.
