A man was left with a fractured eye socket after being beaten up by teenagers in Carlisle.
Police say the victim, 23, was punched and kicked in the eye after the attack.
It happened near the old railway bridge between the cemetery and Ridley Road, close to Gillford Park Rugby Club on August 8.
A police spokesman said: “The victim had walked past a group of young males and females and shortly after he’d gone past, two or three of the males ran up to him and beat him to the ground.
“We believe the youths may have been wearing hooded tops.
“Ideally we would like the females in that group to come forward.”
Witnesses should contact DC Watson on 101.
