Stately way to spend a weekend

More than 30 dealers went to Naworth Castle for its annual antiques fair.

By Duncan Bick

The event took place last Friday, Saturday and Sunday and most of the traders went home smiling.

Susan Galloway, one of the organisers, said: “It was successful for these difficult times. A lot of the dealers went home happy and they went away with a profit.”

The fair is aimed at people with high incomes, and no note is taken of numbers attending.

However, Ms Galloway said it had been busy on both Friday and Saturday but quieter on Sunday.
