Simple Minds and The Vaccines are to play Carlisle next year.
Simple Minds come to The Sands Centre as part of a nationwide greatest hits tour.
One of the biggest bands of the eighties, they packed out stadiums and sold millions of singles and albums with hits such as Alive and Kicking, Don’t You (Forget About Me), Waterfront, Love Song, I Travel, American and more.
They will be touring to promote their new album due for release in the spring, titled:Celebrate - The Greatest Hits +.
The Sands Centre has also announced that The Vaccines will play the venue in May next year.
It is their first return to the region since playing at the Radio 1 Big Weekend in Carlisle last year.
The latest album by the indie rockers, Come Of Age, debuted at number one in the charts when it was released in September.
Simple Minds will play The Sands Centre, Carlisle on March 29, and The Vaccines on May 4. Tickets for both gigs go on sale on Friday.
