Sharrow Bay hotel owners go into administration

The holding company of the chain of hotels including Cumbria’s luxurious Sharrow Bay hotel has gone into administration.
But the hotels themselves, which also include The Samling at Windermere, are NOT in administration – and will continue to trade as usual.
Administrators said they would still take bookings and honour bookings that have been made.
Accountants Ernst & Young announced they had been appointed administrators to von Essen Hotels Limited, the holding company of a collection of 28 private hotels in the UK and France.
Angela Swarbrick, joint administrator, said: “It is business as normal for the hotels and customers of von Essen Hotels can continue to enjoy their stay.”
